Walk All Over Cancer Month
Next Tuesday marks the first day in March, which means it’s almost Walk All Over Cancer month!
Organised by Cancer Research UK, every year thousands of participants show cancer who’s boss by walking 10,000 steps a day throughout March to raise money for life-saving research.
Last year the annual fundraiser collected a staggering £8,848,674.78 in sponsorship and the organisers are hoping for another successful year as they gear up for the start of the 2022 edition.
Stay Active & Raise Money
Walk All Over Cancer is a brilliant fundraiser as not only does it help to fund vital research but it’s also a great incentive to keep active, which is one of the best ways to stay healthy.
Walking not only improves fitness and heart health, but it can also lower blood pressure, improve mental health and help stave off illness and disease so it’ll help keep you in tip-top condition while you raise funds for a good cause.
Monitoring your steps and sharing your progress has never been easier as you can now link your Giving Page to your Fitbit app. Even if you don’t have a Fitbit device you can still download the app for free on your smartphone, allowing family and friends to see you getting closer to your goal!
If you’d like to get involved to get active and raise money for a really important charity, head over to the sign up page here. The more money we raise, the closer we get to finally beating this horrible disease!
Reduce Chances of Getting Cancer by Quitting Smoking
Quitting smoking is another way we can really stick it to cancer! Almost 80,000 people a year die from smoking-related illness in England alone – many of them from cancer – but lots are now using vape devices as a way to finally give up smoking for good.
We have a variety of starter kits which are ideal for beginners, or you could even pick up one of the many great disposable vapes on the market right now. One such product is our very own Fantasi Bar which is packed full of flavour and a great choice for those just making the switch from smoking.
