Different Types of Vape Liquids

We stock a variety of vape juices that range in flavour, ratios, sizes and nicotine strengths so you’re sure to find your new favourite e-liquids here. Sometimes the e-liquid you’re using isn’t the correct liquid for your vape, so we’ll break it down for you.

70/30 Vape Juice (High VG Liquid)

70VG 30PG vape juice is intended to work with sub-ohm kits and more powerful vape setups. VG is a rich, sweet liquid that produces thicker clouds of vapour and a more powerful flavour. Because high VG liquids have a thicker consistency, a plus ohm (MTL) coil cannot adequately absorb the liquid, which could be one of the reasons why you’re not having the most enjoyable vape.

50/50 E Liquid

Lower-powered MTL style kits, such as pod kits or MTL starting kits, are best suited for vaping 50 50 eliquid. We advocate using a high PG ratio e-liquid with plus ohm MTL coils (1ohm or above). These nicotine-containing vape juices are the most popular among new vapers since they closely resemble the sensation of smoking and are available in strengths of up to 20mg.

Nic Salts Vape Liquid

Nic salt e-liquids are generally preferred by vapers who want to experience a high-strength nicotine liquid but prefer something smoother with less throat punch. Typically available in dosages ranging from 5mg to 20mg, even a 20mg e-liquid would provide a fairly smooth vape. Aside from providing a lighter inhale, this type of nicotine is absorbed by the body faster for immediate craving satisfaction. Nicotine Salts vaporise at a lower temperature, making them ideal for lesser-powered MTL kits, like Vaporesso Xros 3 and OXVA Xlim Pro.

Bar Juice

Bar juices are e-liquids that are specifically made to taste like disposable vapes. They are packed full of stronger flavour concentration in 50/50 ratios, making them ideal for pod devices and vape starter kits with a plus ohm MTL coil (1 ohm or above).

What Is In Vape Juice?

There are only 3 or 4 key ingredients that make vape liquid:

  • Propylene Glycol (PG)
  • Vegetable Glycerin (VG)
  • Flavourings
  • Nicotine (optional)

Together, PG and VG provide the cold vapour you notice, VG offers more vapour whilst PG carries more flavour, and nicotine then suppresses cravings.

Since nicotine, by itself, isn’t the greatest flavour, flavouring, the fourth and last ingredient, is added, keeping you happily vaping while giving your vape juice a fantastic taste.

Now, it’s important to know that VG can be made with the likes of palmoil, which our competitors use, and isn’t vegan. Our VG is made with rapeseed, a more ethical and expensive ingredient, but as we pride ourselves as an environmentally friendly company, so all of our e-liquids are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.

How Long Does E Liquid Last?

It depends on a few things; firstly, how long your vape juice lasts will largely depend on how much you vape. The more you vape, the faster your e-liquid will run out!

The type of device you use will also heavily influence the amount of e liquid you go through. For instance, pen-style starter kit devices will use up much less e-liquid than advanced sub-ohm kits.

If you’re starting out vaping, you can expect a bottle of 10ml standard nicotine e liquid to last a few days. On the other hand, if you’re a heavy user with a sub-ohm kit, you might go through that in as little as a day.

If by ‘how long does e-liquid last?’ you mean the amount of time it’ll take to deteriorate, most good-quality vape juices should last 1-2 years.

Can You Use Any E-Juice In Any Vape Pen?

Theoretically, yes, but that doesn’t mean that you should. Some liquids work better with certain devices, and using the wrong vape juice with your device can produce undesirable results.
For instance, if you use 50/50 e liquid with a sub-ohm device, the chances are it’ll leak. It’ll also be extremely harsh on the throat. Likewise, vaping 70/30 e liquid with a plus-ohm kit will have equally poor results as your device will struggle to heat the more viscous liquid, resulting in a lacklustre taste and minimal cloud production.

How Much Does Vape Liquid Cost?

Aside from the health benefits of using e-cigarettes to quit smoking, the most attractive thing about vaping is how much money you can save.
Vaping is far cheaper than smoking; depending on how much you smoke, you could make some serious savings. If you’re someone who smokes heavily, you could save literally thousands every year!
At Vapoholic, we’re committed to providing the best-quality e-liquids at rock-bottom prices, and our 10ml bottles start at just £1, so you won’t find better value for your money than our Ferocious e liquid or Fantasi e liquid ranges.

How Much Nicotine Is In Vape Juice?

E-liquids come in a range of strengths, which includes 3mg, 6mg,10mg, 12mg, 18mg & 20mg

These strengths are measured per ml, so a 10ml bottle at 3mg strength will contain 10 x 3mg (30mg), while a bottle at 6mg strength will contain 10 x 6mg (60mg) and so on.

These varying strengths help ensure our e-liquid range caters for all, so whether you’re a heavy smoker and used to a strong dose of nicotine or prefer something a little smoother, you’re sure to find the ideal strength for you.

What Strength Nicotine Vape Liquid Should I Use?

The strength you use is entirely your choice, and the ideal strength differs from person to person. If you’re just quitting smoking, chances are you’ll be used to a decent hit of nicotine, so to keep your cravings at bay, you may need a fairly strong vapour juice.

If you’re new to vaping, the throat hit you get from a 12mg or 18mg e-liquid might be too much to handle. If that’s the case, you could try our nic salts. Nic salts are designed to deliver a strong nicotine hit without the harshness of standard nicotine.

What's In E Liquid?

At Vapoholic, we pride ourselves on the quality we offer, and all of our products are TPD-compliant, which means they conform to the EU’s rigorous standards, which includes all of our e-liquids.

We make each of our vape juices using the industry-standard Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerine (VG) combo, along with a few added ingredients to achieve that delicious flavour our products are renowned for.

What's The Difference Between PG And VG Liquid?

Propylene Glycol (PG) is found in many everyday items such as food, medicines and skin products. It’s also used in e-liquids for its emulsifying properties. Vegetable Glycerine is a viscous liquid from coconut, palm or soybean oil.

VG and PG are found in e-liquids, although they’re used in different ratios. For instance, 50/50 e-liquids have an even distribution of PG and VG, which means they’re thinner in consistency. They also have a slightly stronger throat hit due to the equal measure of PG.

On the other hand, 70/30 e-liquid uses a higher proportion of VG. It produces thicker clouds of vapour and ensures a smoother vape, which is essential when used with sub-ohm kits as the throat hit you’d get from a 50/50 juice would be too intense.

How Many Cigarettes Is 10ml eLiquid?

Again, the answer to this one depends on a few things, such as the strength of the e-liquid and the type of vape juice you’re using.

As a rough rule of thumb, you’ll usually get around 100 hits in every 1ml. It is about the same as ten cigarettes, so in a 10ml bottle, you’ll usually get about 100 cigarettes’ worth of vapour.

Regarding nicotine content, the number of cigarettes you get in your e-liquid will heavily depend on your strength. Most cigarettes contain around 10 mg of nicotine, so a 10ml bottle at 6mg strength containing 60 mg of nicotine is approximately six cigarettes’ worth. At the upper end of the spectrum, a 10ml bottle at 18 mg strength will have the same nicotine as about 18 cigarettes.

Remember that just because you’re smoking 20 cigarettes a day doesn’t mean you should vape a 20mg bottle of e-liquid, as vaping is different from smoking.

Where To Buy E Cig Liquid?

That’s easy, from us! No, in all seriousness, ensure you do so from a TPD-compliant retailer when you purchase your vape juice. It means they conform to the regulations laid out by the European Union, and it’s a good way to make sure the products you’re buying are safe and legal.

At Vapoholic, all our e-liquids are TPD-compliant, and our products are all made using only UK-sourced ingredients. So if you’re looking for great-quality e-liquids that are safe and affordable, you’ve come to the right place!

Can You Dilute E Liquid?

It is possible to dilute your e-liquid. The type of liquid you’re diluting will dictate what you add to it.

If you’re using a 70/30 e-liquid with a higher proportion of vegetable glycerine, the thickness of the liquid means you can add a few drops of distilled water. Alternatively, if you’re using a 50/50 and it’s too harsh, you could always add a little VG to make it slightly smoother.

Regardless of what you’re diluting your e-liquid with, remember not to overdo it, or you risk completely upsetting the formula and ruining your product.

How To Open Vape Liquid Bottle?

To keep the liquid safely inside the bottle, we ensure the top is fitted as tightly as possible. But while this ensures no leakage, if you’ve purchased a shortfill and need to get inside the bottle to add your nicotine, it can prove quite challenging.

For a quick and easy way to remove the nozzle head try one of our Vapoholic Shortfill Bottle Cap Removal Tools or use a bottle opener or a thin, blunt object to get under the small notch located at the side. Just be careful not to apply too much pressure, and always keep the bottle upright while you do it!

In our newer Shortfill e-liquids, our nicotine shot bottles come with a wider nozzle. So instead of having to struggle with opening your shortfill bottle, instead, place the nicotine shot on top of the shortfill nozzle so its fits comfortably over the top of the nozzle. And just squeeze it in!

How To Refill E Cig With E Liquid?

When you’ve purchased your e-liquid, it’s simply a case of getting into your device and then you’re ready to vape. Most devices/tanks have a top-filling system where you insert the e-liquid bottle’s nozzle into the tank and squeeze your vape juice in.

For optimum flavour and performance, always wait a few minutes before vaping to allow the coil to prime. Five minutes should do it.

Is 0mg Vape Juice Bad For You?

The most harmful chemical in e-liquid is nicotine, and while vaping is not 100% safe, it’s proven to be at least 95% safer than smoking and continues to be the number one Nicotine Replacement Therapy.
