50/50 E Liquid

FAQ

  • When a person quits smoking and starts to vape, they are more likely to choose an affordable starter kit which will only produce a small amount of power to heat the liquid. The 50/50 e-liquid blend is thinner than the 70/30 counterpart and is much better suited for those devices.

  • 50/50 e liquid is not designed to be vaped at high temperatures. Vape 50/50 e liquid with the wattage turned up too high and you’ll probably find the harsh throat hit will be too intense. That’s why we’d advise you to vape it at no higher than 22w. If you’re looking for a vape juice for a high-powered, sub-ohm device then you’re much better using a 70/30 e liquid instead.

  • If you’re vaping 50/50 e liquid, you should be using a coil that’s at least 1-ohm (also known as plus-ohm coils). That’s because a plus-ohm coil will stop the thinner 50/50 e liquid from leaking, and the higher resistance will prevent it from getting too hot, which would be harsh on your throat given the higher proportion of PG.

  • 50/50 e liquid also balances flavour delivery with vapour clouds, making it a brilliant substitute for mouth-to-lung vaping (similar to smoking a cigarette). We would recommend choosing 50 50 e liquids for those using a starter kit, a low wattage e-cig such as the Endura, or for those who have just switched from smoking to vaping.

  • Sometimes, nothing! That’s because some 50/50 e liquids are made with Nic Salts. E liquids that are made with Nic Salts as opposed to standard freebase nicotine are notably smoother, allowing you to vape stronger liquids but without the harshness you may experience with regular vape juice.

  • Yes, all the Nic Salts we manufacture come in 50/50 ratio.

  • The difference between these e liquids is the max VG will contain more vegetable glycerin (VG) which means it’ll be thicker and smoother, making it better-suited to sub-ohm kits.

  • One of the biggest differences in VG/PG balance in vape juice is the experience when you vape it. A stronger PG liquid will have a bigger ‘throat hit’, more akin to a cigarette. A strong VG liquid will produce a thicker vapour and vape clouds. A lot therefore come down to preference and what you are looking for in a vaping experience.

Some people are also more sensitive to PG or VG and will find different ratios more pleasant to vape, or suitable to their palette. The best thing to do is trial different flavours with different ratios and work out which one is the best for both you and your vaping device.
