What Is CBD Powder?
All of our CBD powder comes from CBD isolate, which is a crystal form of CBD. This is why you’ll often see powdered CBD being referred to as “CBD crystals”.
CBD powder is a pure form of cannabidiol that contains no other cannabis plant compounds. It usually comes from hemp plants, which typically contain very low amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). This explains why you won’t get a “high” feeling from your CBD powder as it contains no psychoactive compounds.
What Do You Do With CBD Powder?
Like other CBD products, you should incorporate powdered CBD into your daily regimen which will allow the product to interact with your endocannabinoid system. This system is responsible for a range of functions, which is why so many people report such a wide range of benefits after taking powdered CBD
How Do I Use CBD/CBG Powder?
This isolate powder is not 100% water soluble. You can buy isolate powder that is completely water soluble, but this would leave a really bitter aftertaste and comes in much lower strengths. These may also contain alcohol, so it’s for those reasons we wouldn’t recommend using water soluble CBG.
Although our isolate powder isn’t 100% water soluble, when it comes to mixability some methods are better than others.
Hot drinks – When you mix your isolate powder with a hot drink such as tea or coffee, the powder will dissolve into a natural, oil-like substance. This will be slightly visible on the surface of the drink. Using hot milk – dairy or plant-based – is beneficial as the natural oils within the milk will mix with CBG.
Smoothies – If you decide to make a smoothie, your isolate powder will be dispersed evenly when blended.
Cold liquids – If mixed with cold drinks such as water or juice, your isolate powder won’t dissolve properly, forming a powdery residue on the surface.
If you don’t mind the slightly bitter, earthy taste, you might find the best way to get the CBG isolate into your system is by taking it under the tongue (also known as sublingually). Sublingual administration is actually superior to taking it orally as less of the compound is destroyed by your digestive enzymes.
On the other hand, for those who’d prefer to avoid the ever-so-slightly unpalatable taste, you can simply sprinkle the product onto food or add it to a delicious smoothie.
Regardless of which way you choose to take your CBG powder, just be sure to get the dosage correct as you could quite easily take too much if you forget to weigh it beforehand.
Can You Eat Powdered CBD?
If by ‘can you eat CBD crystals/powder?’ you mean can you put it directly into your mouth and swallow it, the answer is yes. However, just because you can, that doesn’t mean you should.
This is a pure form of CBD and should always be carefully weighed depending on required dosage. As mentioned already, CBD isolate crystals do have a slightly bitter taste, you might find it’s best enjoyed with food or drink which you can use to completely disguise the taste.
How Much CBD Isolate Powder Should I Use?
Confused over how much CBD isolate powder to use? With powdered CBD, unfortunately there’s no one-size-fits-all dosage; we all have a different tolerance. So the ideal dosage depends on a number of factors including height, weight, age, sensitivity, diet etc.
We would advise customers to start off on a low dosage such as 10mg and gradually work their way up until they find the sweet spot. As this is such a small quantity, you’ll need to purchase some weighing scales that measure to two decimal places (10mg would weigh as 0.01 gram on a two-decimal point scale).
What Is CBG Powder?
Until recently, CBG was notoriously difficult to produce due to the low quantities found in plants and the complicated nature of the extraction process. This is why many people find themselves asking “what is CBG powder?” as they’re hearing about it for the very first time!
Thankfully, recent advancements in technology and some clever cross pollination/genetic manipulation has made life much easier for us CBG producers, so chances are you’ll be seeing a lot more of this product moving forward.
So what is CBG powder? Well, CBG stands for cannabigerol and it’s one of over 100 cannabinoids found in the cannabis and hemp plants. CBG is a non-psychoactive compound which basically means it won’t get you “high”, unlike some other cannabinoids such as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and many predict it’s going to be the next big thing in the health and wellbeing industry.
How Is CBG Powder Made?
CBG powder is extracted from young cannabis and hemp plants. The reason for this is once these plants start to mature, their CBG is converted into CBD and THC so the young plants are used while they still contain CBG.
Like CBD, CBG crystals are produced using a supercritical CO2 extraction, which allows us to isolate specific compounds from the hemp or cannabis plant. This method uses a closed-loop extractor, which is basically a system for extracting essential powders (otherwise known as powders from plants).
The plant is placed in a chamber which is then filled with carbon dioxide before pressure is applied to the chamber. This turns the carbon dioxide into liquid, which then absorbs the hemp’s powders and flavours. We’re then left with a liquid consisting of both carbon dioxide and CBG and this is then pumped into a final chamber where the carbon dioxide is turned into gas and removed.
When the extraction is complete what we’re left with is a fully natural extract that doesn’t contain any nasty, harmful chemicals – just pure, 100% natural CBG.
Is CBG Powder Legal?
Yes, absolutely! As CBG powder is a non-psychoactive compound, it’s completely legal so long as it has a THC content of 0.2% or less. Thankfully, all our CBG isolate powder conforms to these standards so any product you purchase from Vapoholic is 100% legal.
How Much CBG Isolate Powder Should I Use?
Wondering how much CBG powder to use? In truth, the optimum dosage depends on a range of factors such as height, weight, age, diet, sensitivity. With this in mind, the best dosage to take may be completely different from one person to the next.
We would advise customers to start off on a low dosage of 10mg and gradually work their way up until they’ve hit the sweet spot. Just remember 10mg is 0.01 of a gram so to weigh such a small amount you’ll need some weighing scales.
