Do Disposable Vapes Expire?
Do disposable vapes expire? It’s a question we get asked from time to time, so we thought it was time to set the record straight once and for all!
If you’re considering picking up some throw-away units then it’s natural to wonder whether they’re going to die on you or not! After all, we all want to get as much bang for our buck as possible!
To find out the answer let’s take a look at these devices and answer the all important question: do disposable vapes expire?
Will a Disposable Vape Run Out?
The short answer to this question is yes, unfortunately your disposable vape will expire. But the thing is, that’s also kind of the point!
You see, these super-convenient devices are aimed at beginners or those who prefer a hassle-free vape, so they’re designed to be as easy and user-friendly as possible. That means no re-filling, no maintenance and no re-charging. So, naturally, with such little room for maneuver, sadly these devices only have a limited lifespan.
That means you’ll get to enjoy your vape for a limited time only, but on the plus side you’ll pay much less – they usually cost around £6 – compared to a refillable device.
So now we know that disposable vapes do in fact expire, you might now be wondering how long you can expect them to last before they need replacing.
How Long Do Disposable Vapes Last?
So, how long do disposable vapes last then? Well, to be perfectly honest, when it comes to quality not all disposables are made equally. So the answer to this one will largely depend on which device you’re using.
If you’re using one of the market’s leading disposable vapes such as the Lost Mary, Elf Bar or our very own Fantasi Bar, then your vape should last you at least a day or two. If you’re someone who doesn’t vape all that frequently then it might even last you a few!
Keep in mind, though, that if you’re hitting your vape relentlessly then your heavy use will take its toll and your vape is obviously going to die much quicker.
All three throw-away devices mentioned above will provide around 600 puffs (estimated) which at around £6 offers incredible value considering you’d pay at least four-times that if you smoked and puffed the same in cigarettes!
Do Disposable Vapes Run Out of Battery?
Now we’ve learned disposable vapes expire and we’ve also gained a decent understanding of how long they’ll usually last, it’s probably worth going over what actually causes them to die.
Another question we get asked quite a lot is “do disposables run out of battery?” and the answer is yes, they do. In fact, in most cases this is precisely why a disposable vape has ceased working, as the battery usually expires before the vape liquid runs out (in 99% of cases it’ll either be one or the other).
If you’re using a poor-quality device then in some situations it could be that electrical components in your vape have failed. But in most cases it can simply be put down to either your battery or your e-liquid running out.
In any event, once it’s gone it’s gone and you won’t be able to charge or refill your device. If you suspect an issue with the internal components then don’t try to fix the device unless you really know what you’re doing as playing around with electrical parts and batteries can be dangerous.
What to Do When Your Disposable Vape Died
So this leaves us with just one more base to cover: what to do when your disposable vape died. And the answer to this one is pretty straight-forward – pick up another one! (browse our range of disposable vapes if you’re looking for some more)
Oh and another thing to remember is not to forget to responsibly dispose of your used vape. Unlike other vape products, disposables aren’t as easily recycled and shouldn’t be thrown into regular rubbish bins due to their battery and other heavy materials.
Instead, take your disposables to a special facility that deals with them, or if you’ve a bit more time on your hands you can even dismantle the device yourself and dispose of the individual parts accordingly.
